... and hit the craft store and started making all our own Christmas cards.
I continued on my merry way accumulating and creating and having a good time and slowly my little habit spawned boxes and boxes of cards that I gave to friends and family and then one even paid me for them... I could make money... wow! My husband then convinced me to look into selling at the Moss Street Market. I called, inquired, set up an appointment to be juried, went and was accepted to sell. So we bought a tent, made a table, found some boxes and made a display. Pretty pathetic looking one when I look back, but that didn't detract people from buying.
Spending the last ten summers at various markets has created quite a following that has led to many connections. These connections are now allowing me to create custom wedding invitations, stock stores and do some pretty creative paper work. It's funny when you hear people talking about turning their passion into a lucrative venture... now I see why and how! It's a lot of hard work, a lot of time but so much fun meeting people and talking with them and sharing a passion for connecting to those we love through pretty cards with pretty paper and a note that is so personal it can make you laugh, cry, remember, rejoice or just plain feel loved and warm and fuzzy! I love that!
As for what is new... check out the What´s New page and I'll tell you more about it there!
